Menopause and Muscles-Leg Cramps

This is what I recently experienced. It was very painful.

There are so many hidden symptoms that women don’t know about that comes with menopause. The most Calf muscelcommon ones are always the more known ones.

  • Hot Flashes
  • Night Sweats
  • Mood Swings
  • Sleep Problems

This particular hidden symptom took me completely by surprise! What do I mean? Well, I was sleeping and got a terrible and painful leg cramp in my right leg in the upper part of my leg right where my muscle is. I fell out of the bed and on to the floor and there I was for over an hour in extreme pain. Pain I never had before. Plus my foot got cramps in it too.  The more I cried it seemed like the longer it took for the cramp to calm down. I couldn’t stand up or move it at all. All I could do is sit as still as I could on the floor. 

As I calmed myself down through praying which was all I had I managed to get back in the bed but I was so exhausted for the whole day. My sleep was interrupted with a scare. I had no warning, no sign or anything as to what was going to happen to me.

What did I do to get my leg back functioning? I used a muscle ointment, I soaked it, I rubbed it down with alcohol and I took an over the counter pain pill and I have been doing leg exercises every day three times a day.

In my conclusion, I recommend that you do plenty of  daily exercise also take calcium and any  other vitamins that will aide in your muscles and bones while you are coping with menopause be sure to drink a lot of water. Finally, speak with your doctor for the best recommendations for your condition.
